Welcome to the first trailer post of 2023

This week I have made a commitment to updating my Letterboxd account since starting it in 2016 and half-heartedly reporting what I have watched. This week, I logged Eureka (2000), Heat Wave (1991), Ashes of Time (1994), The Age of Assassins (1967), Police Branch 82 – Rebirth, Sense and Sensibility (1995), and My Broken Mariko (2022).

I also watched 1899, the now-cancelled Netflix series (I was in the middle of an episode when the announcement was made). I’m trying to start Squid Game. That has a second series in production.

Since the last trailer round-up, I posted about my favourite films of 2022 and about an indie film screening in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. Tomorrow, I’ll take part in a Heroic Purgatory podcast episode covering my top ten films from 2022.
