Happy weekend everyone!

Fuku chan Film Image

I hope you are all well. Another week has passed and we’re already half way through the year. In film terms I have watched over 100 titles, the last one being Fuku-chan of Fukufuku Flats (2014) which I reviewed earlier this week. I have started watching the summer 2015 anime and decided I will do first impressions again as well as the summer of splatter so anime reviews will be interspesred with manga/movie reviews. The first one I have written is for Ushio to Tora.

In terms of gaming, I’m doing pretty well at Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions mainly because I like to over level and open up as many jobs as possible. I also upped my pledge for the Shenmue III Kickstarter to buy a physical copy of the game but I won’t be getting to play that until December 2017 (according to the campaign).

What’s released this weekend?

Random music video resdiscovered two years after writing about another film:

  1. The Pokemon Hoopa movie is also anticipated partly because Nintendo/Game Freak often coordinate movie releases with new game announcements. Many expect this to coordinate with an announcement of the “Pokemon Z” follow-up to the great Pokemon X & Y games. Many expect it, but it is not going to happen.
The “big announcement” better not be something lame about the trading cards.
I hope the North American release means we can FINALLY obtain an official (not hacked) Hoopa in the XY video games. I just hope I did not miss the event already. You blink, you might miss the window of availability. Do any readers know?

      1. HG/SS was the first game I bought for my son. He was in 2nd grade and taught me everything about it. I had been playing along with it, and have been watching the movies through the franchise. We would always but the two games on release date. He might have lost interest in it now, because he most often plays Minecraft and this game something about a dead goat. (PS: I think that the “Giratina” movie was the best of the Pokemon movies. I think that even someone who does not know about Pokemon could enjoy it)

      2. Same thing with my sister. We’d buy Nintendo DS games and play multiplayer then we graduated to Halo/Fallout 3/Minecraft. Recently, we have been playing my old Dreamcast games like Shenmue together.

  2. Cool “Lamp” music video. One comment on YT called it “___ nerd elevator dreaam __ ” which is a compliment. I see that they subsrcibe to the Hanako Oku’s “just walking around in the music video” school of thought. : )
