Hello dear audience. Want some pink-film action? I’m not normally interested in pink-films (soft-core porn) and I bet it’s not something you would normally watch but with Third Window Films hosting the UK premiere of a bizarre title named ‘Underwater Love’ in London you might just change your mind after seeing some details.
WARNING – Trailer contains nudity and musical numbers!

The trailer is crazy, right? Well it is a story of unrequited love between middle-aged soon to be married Asuka and an old high school friend named Aoki who drowned when he was 17. He just happens to look like a kappa. Asuka decides to hide Aoki from her fiancé who just happens to be her boss at a fish cannery and must decide what she will do with her future – which invariably involves sex and musical dance numbers scored by German/French synth-pop duo Stereo Total.
Clearly tongue-in-cheek, the brains behind this are impressive with renowned pink-film director Shinji Imaoka and legendary cinematographer Christopher Doyle who has collaborated with Wong Kar-Wai, Jim Jarmusch and Takashi Shimizu. Reviews I have read have been glowing so it looks to be quite a good evening out especially when you take into consideration the UK premiere of ‘Underwater Love’ will have live performances from ‘Stereo Total’ as well as DJs on the night.
Times: Doors Open at 6:30pm
Seats must be taken by 7:30pm when a small performance by Stereo Total will get underway followed by the film followed by a full performance by Stereo Total.
